The story of an Apple Tree

There are two kinds of people -- Those who love trees and those who don’t.

We used to wait for the spring season… I used to wake up and head straight for the backyard even with my half open eyes but … I don’t know what I’m going to do tomorrow.

High CPU usage at Godaddy

What was once the best registrar is probably now just a mediocre one. What was once the best place to get shared hosting is now swarming with spammers, bandwidth-hoggers, viruses, worms and opportunistic customers who think nothing about responsibility when running on a shared hosting platforms. My last standing refuge, a few virtual dedicated servers which have given me no reasons to complain in the past 2 years have suddenly turned … hopeless.

Life comes at you fast! Really fast

Ever pondered the meaning of life while hurtling down at 138 miles per hour? Meaning or Life? Back when I started at Yahoo, I was one of the young ones, labeled “firebrand Yahoo,” “trouble-monger,” “how-did-he-do-that-guy” and the likes. Then came the likes of Bipin, Nandu Yathin and others who so unceremoniously stripped me off my “angry-young-man” trophies. Its been 9 years since then? Whoa!

I do not feel like going to work. No, I’m just not going to show up for work today. Maybe not tomorrow as well. You know why? Its not about me, its all about You!

I found that password! Password Break-ins can be avoided.

I’ve had the thousandth aha moment. I found someone’s password. Again! Having seen this cockiness of “it can’t happen to me” for such a long time; Time and again proves just one of the two things – Either people believe they are invincible and do not really care or they just do not know how to generate strong random passwords that can be easily remembered.

I’d give my secret recipe for generating passwords; Passwords that can be written in full public view, will never need to be written down, can be remembered for as long as you’re alive (and mentally sound), cannot be broken by your friends or relatives and passwords that are unique to every place you need them. For the record, my Bank of the West password is “Amazing Amazing West of 2005!” Go figure!

Is PowerDNN hosting a rip-off? Or is it really worth it?

I’ve never hosted with PowerDNN. I have no idea why their services are so -- “Expensive.” I also hate spammers. And scammers. So tell me people; what is it that I have missed about PowerDNN? Is it a ripoff? What’s with all the TVs and Giveaways spamming my DNN search tabs on twitter? Are people really stupid? Or is it just me? Updated.

I never quite understood why it takes people n different iterations to get a design right. No, it is not surprising that they do understand Object Oriented Design, it is downright irritating that they learnt OOP all through their founding years, graduated in CS, have been doing this for life and still write software like every damn piece of their code is a masterpiece in itself. Look, I have no issues to your claim of having mastered the Object Oriented paradigm. I don’t even care how you code. I don’t care you know your algorithms or not. I don’t care what language you program in. I need to know you’d be consistent.

Its amazing how so many of us are proud of ourselves in everything we do yet when it comes to smiling for the camera, we look for the nearest fire exit.

In a way, it is the right approach. What's a guy to do when a Canon Rebel toting, self proclaimed photographer is intent on making a permanent painful memory out of your otherwise nice sunny day?

Funny, how an expensive camera doesn't make up for lack of common-sense. Whether you are a professional photographer or just beginning to get addicted, please read on ... and spare us some trouble.
