I had a restful sleep. Sound sleep. Woke up at 9:35 on Sunday morning. Got a lot of things to do. I walk into my den and find my laptop off. WTF. Power on. Windows starts with the ominous “not shut down properly screen…” Eh, normal … but … the laptop switches off! WTF, is this the way to say “Good Morning?” Try once more. Same thing, the laptop shuts down after 10 or so seconds. Arrgh…

So, it happened sooner than I expected! I knew this was going to happen … but so soon? I guess I’ll switch to my Macbook Pro. 1/2 an hour on it and I’m bored. I need my VAIO back. What does it need, a vacuum right? Alright, so I bring my calipers, the watch-men’s screw driver set and I start ripping open the innards of my beautiful VAIO. I need to get to the fan. The fan. Before I know it, its already 1:30PM. Whoa!

And now the laptop looks like this…

Ugly! And the fan is still buried deep inside. Frankly, I don’t think I can put it back. I don’t even remember which screws go where. And there are so many of them!
